Alexander II

(August 24, 1198 - July 8, 1249) - King of Scotland, son of Leo and Wilhema I Ermengardy from Beaumont. Dece mber 4, 1214 at age 16, after the death of his father, was electe d King of Scotland. A year after assuming the throne, Alexander I I broke out in the province of Moray rebellion instigated by MacWilliam and MacHeth clans. But it was able to quickly suppress, through effective measures, carried out by Farquhar Mac Taggart. In the same year, Alexander went with his army to England to support the English barons who are in conflict with King John Lackland.
